Baldwin Supply Legends - Greg Harald

When asked what he enjoys most about working at Baldwin Supply, Greg said, "I like that each day is different. I enjoy researching parts for new projects and solving customer needs. Being in this industry over 34 years, I have gained a lot of product knowledge. I am happy to share that knowledge with my customers and other Baldwin employees who haven’t been at it as long as I have! I feel fortunate to have been able to make many friendships over the years with fellow Baldwin employees, vendors and customers.".

Over the course of his 27 years at Baldwin, Greg has seen a lot of change within the company and industry. One example of that is technology, "There has been many, many changes in the last 25 years. First and foremost, technology has made a huge difference. Back in the day, I had a pocketful of quarters to stop at pay phones during the day to check in with the office and call back customers. Now with smartphones, everything is at your fingertips. I used catalogs daily to look up product information. Now that information can be found quickly on your computer or phone. Written communication was always by fax or US mail. Now it is a quick-hitting send in Outlook.".

As technology progresses, Harald is hopeful for the possibilities it will bring to Baldwin and the industry, "I foresee that in the future technology will keep making things faster and more efficient. This could be anything from easy online ordering to shipments being delivered by a drone. I know Baldwin will be at the forefront of all those advances in technology. As technology moves forward I hope the personal connections with those in the industry won’t be lost.".
