Growing With You: How Baldwin Supply Is Expanding Our Footprint and Deepening Our Capabilities

For more than a century, Baldwin Supply has operated on a simple principle: the secret to our success is helping our customers succeed. Since 1920, and through three generations of family ownership, that idea has guided every decision we've made as a privately owned distributor of power transmission, conveyor belt, electric motor, fluid power, automation, and industrial supply products across the Midwest.

Today, that principle is driving one of the most active periods of growth in our history. We're expanding into new markets, investing in new warehouse space, adding new product lines and services, and strengthening the regional teams our customers already rely on. If you're a long-time Baldwin customer, you'll recognize the through-line in all of it. And if you're just getting to know us, here's a snapshot of who we are and where we're headed.

Strengthening Our Reach in Aggregate: The CAP Acquisition

In December 2025, Baldwin Supply acquired Construction & Aggregate Products, Inc. (CAP), a respected independent distributor with locations in Des Moines, Iowa, and Lenexa, Kansas. CAP built its reputation supplying critical parts to the aggregate, mining, and construction industries, and bringing the two companies together combines the strengths of two leading independent distributors in the region.
For our customers, the most important part of any acquisition is what it actually adds. With CAP, the answer is real and tangible. The combined organization significantly strengthens our usefulness to the aggregate industry, both in product depth and in hands-on expertise. It has also expanded what we can do for you. Here are just two examples:

• Rigging. The acquisition allows Baldwin to begin offering rigging products and capabilities, a natural fit for the heavy-duty environments our aggregate, mining, and construction customers work in every day.

• New supplier lines, including Texcel. We've added new manufacturers to our offering, such as Texcel, a long-established supplier of industrial hose, hose fittings and assemblies, hydraulics, and fluid sealing products, broadening the solutions we can bring to demanding applications.

• Another belting team ready to help customers across the region.

A New Branch in Omaha, Nebraska

In April 2026, Baldwin opened our 14th branch location in Omaha, Nebraska, marking our entry into a thriving industrial market with a strong manufacturing base and a fast-growing food processing sector. Located at 11321 S 147th Street, the Omaha branch serves customers across the greater Omaha and Nebraska market, with deep expertise spanning manufacturing, aggregate, mining, construction, food and beverage, agriculture, and meat, beef, and poultry processing.

Opening a physical branch isn't about a pin on a map. It's about getting closer to you. A local Omaha presence means faster response times, local inventory on the shelf, and the hands-on, in-person service Baldwin has always been known for, delivered by people in your community rather than a voice a few states away. We're continuing to build out the space and inventory over the coming weeks, and the branch is a clear signal of our ongoing commitment to Nebraska and the central Midwest.

Five Regional Belting Teams That Go the Extra Mile

Some of the most important investments we're making aren't in new ZIP codes. They're in deepening the teams our customers depend on when a line goes down.

Baldwin operates conveyor belt production facilities with dedicated service crews in five regional hubs: the Twin Cities, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Appleton, Wisconsin, Des Moines, Iowa, and Hibbing, Minnesota. Together they put fabrication, splicing, and on-site service within reach of customers across our territory, and we're actively growing these teams to expand both their capacity and their coverage.

What sets them apart is the way they show up. A conveyor belt failure rarely happens at a convenient hour, and our belting crews are built to respond when it matters most, with on-site vulcanizing, mechanical and vulcanized splicing, lightweight belt fabrication and installation, and full conveyor services. Because each team is regional, the people who answer the call know the local industries they serve. And because the teams are set up to work closely together across branches, urgency never means starting from scratch. Here's what that looks like in practice.

One team, many branches. This past March, when a customer needed a belt fast, our Fargo and Appleton locations coordinated on the fly to handle quoting, fabrication, and shipment, without missing a beat. The customer got exactly what they needed, exactly when they needed it, and their management team was kind enough to reach out afterward to say so. That kind of seamless hand-off between branches is by design, not by luck.

The hard builds. Some jobs are simply beasts. The Fridley belting team recently tackled a cleated belt for a Twin Cities recycling plant that was genuinely difficult to cut and splice, and they brought care and attention to detail from start to finish. When the work is tough, that's exactly when our crews dig in.

Stepping up when the day gets hard. On one recent day, our heavy belt department got hit with two situations at once: a breakdown and a walk-in, both needing immediate attention. The team stopped, rearranged their daily plan, and fit both belts into the schedule, one for a newer local customer and one for a long-time heavy belt customer who keeps coming back precisely because they know we'll take care of them. To make it harder, the crew was short-handed that day. They got it done anyway, a well-earned testament to a heavy belt team that goes the extra mile when it counts.

These aren't abstract promises; they're how our teams operate every week. You can follow more stories like these on our LinkedIn page, where we regularly share examples of crews stepping up to keep our customers running.

More Than Products: Asset Management, Technology, and Manufacturer Partnerships

Distributing quality components is the baseline. The value-added services around them are where Baldwin helps customers run leaner and smarter.

Our Asset Management program is a prime example. It's designed to help customers reduce MRO inventory and expenditures while streamlining processes and operations, ultimately increasing uptime and productivity. For maintenance and operations teams stretched thin, having a partner who helps manage what's on the shelf, and what shouldn't be, frees up both cash and attention for higher-value work.

We're also investing in the technology and expertise behind the scenes, from condition-monitoring and predictive-maintenance solutions to dedicated leadership focused on software and technology, all aimed at making it easier to do business with Baldwin and easier to keep your equipment healthy.

Just as important is the depth of our relationships with the manufacturers we represent. Baldwin stays deeply involved with our supplier partners, both by adding new premier lines, such as our expanded relationship with Graco, and by continually strengthening long-standing partnerships with leading brands like Dodge and many others. That involvement translates directly into better product access, stronger technical support, and the right solution for your application rather than simply the closest one on the shelf.

The Same Mission, A Bigger Capacity to Serve

Fourteen locations across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska. New markets, new services, new supplier lines, and growing regional teams. It all points back to the same goal that has defined Baldwin Supply since 1920: to be recognized by you as your preferred business partner.

We're not out to reinvent the wheel, or the conveyor belt. We're investing so we can keep doing what we do best, helping our customers succeed at what they do best.
