Baldwin Supply Marks 25 Years in Sioux Falls by Tripling Its Footprint

As it celebrates 25 years in Sioux Falls, the independently owned industrial distributor is expanding its regional hub to more than 50,000 square feet, adding warehousing, office space and a dedicated customer training center.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Baldwin Supply Company, an independently owned industrial distributor now in its 106th year, is tripling the size of its Sioux Falls branch to more than 50,000 square feet. The expansion is underway at the branch's existing location and is expected to be complete in early 2027.

The investment lands on a milestone. Baldwin opened its Sioux Falls branch in 2001, and the location has grown into a regional hub serving customers across all of South Dakota and neighboring western states, along with southwest Minnesota and northwest Iowa.

One of Baldwin's belt service teams is based in Sioux Falls, providing onsite installation along with the fabrication of industrial rubber and plastic components, capabilities the company also runs from major facilities in the Twin Cities and Appleton, Wisconsin.

Significantly more warehouse space means Baldwin can stock deeper local inventory, so the parts customers need stay close and available when a line goes down. The branch is a major stocking location for trusted suppliers including Dodge, Fenner Dunlop, PPI, Martin Sprocket, and U.S. Tsubaki. A new indoor truck pull-through adds an overhead crane system that improves loading safety and keeps freight moving under roof, out of the weather. And a dedicated customer training center gives customers a place to sharpen their teams on the equipment and applications that keep their operations running.

The depth of expertise of the Sioux Falls staff, along with 25 years of building relationships, makes the investment all the more fitting.

The Sioux Falls investment is part of Baldwin's broader regional growth. The company recently opened a location just south in Omaha, Nebraska, and acquired Construction and Aggregate Products, adding branches in Des Moines and Kansas City.

The expansion is led by Reynolds Construction Management of Sioux Falls, with the branch expected to open in early 2027. Baldwin will host an open house once the facilities are complete.
