BSC St. Cloud
In 1851, German settlers were the first to settle in one of the three surrounding towns, Upper, Middle, and Lower. The towns all served as a refuge for fleeing colonists in the area, which soon after served as a refuge for fleeing colonizers. In 1856, the three towns compromised into one known as St. Cloud, named after, Saint-Cloud, the French city. St. Cloud became a central point for trade and business for the surrounding agriculture area. St. Cloud was given the name "The Granite City" from the discovery of the first granite quarry in 1868, which brought in new settlers and economic growth for the city. From then on, St. Cloud only continued to grow and into one of Minnesota's largest cities.
Baldwin Supply’s January 1961 Baldwin Supplier newsletter highlights St. Cloud and its history, including the discovery and business boom from the granite quarries.
In 2013, Baldwin Supply opened its 8th branch location in St. Cloud, Minnesota, to help serve the central Minnesota region to best serve our current and prospective customers. Just like the other branch locations, BSC St. Cloud serves several industries, including aggregate and mining, food and beverage, agriculture, poultry, packaging equipment, power generation, industrial conveyors, and more.
